Breath of Life

George Catlin was an American artist who lived among the Plains Indians, during the 1830s, capturing their way of life in his art. During his extensive time among them, he discovered a surprising knowledge and practice which, he believed, accounted for the superior health of the Native Americans, compared to civilized races.
