Libby is nineteen, and she has a plan for the next ten years. Every day she rides the old lift in Brightwell House, the one with no doors that never stops, and she always gets off on time. Then one Thursday in May she doesn't, and she steps out into a dusty building, a changed city, and a house where strangers live.
