LibriVox volunteers bring you seventeen different readings of Shakespeare’s Sonnet 130. This sonnet offers a look into the Elizabethan ideal of womanly beauty, then turns it on its head with wry realism. Then as now, real beauty is inside. This was the weekly poetry project for the week of March 5, 2006.
