Joseph Horatio Chant was born in Somersetshire, England Died: 8 Jun 1928 His parents came to Canada in 1840 and settled in Niagara-on-the-Lake in Ontario. He attended Victoria College when it was in Cobourg and was ordained to the Methodist ministry in 1864. Mr. Chant was a poet and published "Gleams of Sunshine" in 1915. - Summary by David Lawrence
