In this 1926 Newbery Honor Book, Pádraic Colum gathers several little-known folk lore tales of exploration on the Atlantic Ocean and to the American continent, adds accounts of historical exploration, and presents it in the setting of Prince Henry of Portugal's gathering of astronomers and explorers on the edge of the European continent.
